This year’s Comedy Conference attendees are in for a treat as the keynote address on the opening day of the Conference will be delivered by Lewis Black, on a one-man mission to wake up Washington, along with the rest of the civilized world. His rants are famous from his previous appearances at Just For Laughs Festivals in Montreal and Toronto, as well as his popular Back In Black segment from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

"Just For Laughs Comedy Director of the Year" award recipient Jay Roach will present the screening at the Imperial Theatre.

The comedy, “Dinner for Schmucks” tells the story of Tim (Paul Rudd), an up-and-coming executive who has just received his first invitation to the “dinner for idiots” – a monthly event hosted by his boss, which promises bragging rights (and maybe more) to the exec who shows up with the biggest buffoon. Tim's girlfriend, Julie (Stephanie Szostak), finds it distasteful and Tim agrees to skip the dinner, until he bumps into Barry (Steve Carell) an IRS employee who devotes his spare time to building elaborate taxidermy mouse dioramas – and quickly realizes he's struck idiot gold. Tim can't resist, and invites Barry, whose blundering good intentions soon send Tim's life into a frenzied downward spiral and a series of comic misadventures, threatening a major business deal, bringing a crazy stalker ex-girlfriend, Darla (Lucy Punch), back into Tim's life and driving Julie (or so Tim thinks) into the arms of another man.

Naomi Odenkirk, producer of The Not Inappropriate Show (and wife of comedy's Bob Odenkirk), cherry-picked these sketches and songs from different sketch groups and comedy troupes. "Here’s the hook: none of the scenes in this show were written for kids; they were all created for adult comedy audiences—there are no little kid fairy tales here!  These are great pieces that Bob and I loved, that happen to be 'not inappropriate' for a young audience. We have two kids, ages 9 and 11-- they are very comedy savvy-- and they absolutely love this show.  There’s nothing else like this around — a cool show (not pandering!) with seasoned comedy performers that you can share with your kids."  The show runs like a "best-of," and features performers from the legendary comedy troupe The Groundlings and the very hip Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Featuring Bob Odenkirk, Kate Micucci and a cast of some of the best sketch performers from Los Angeles, including Stephanie Courtney, Andrew Friedman, Steve Little, Michael Naughton, Larry Dorf, Kent Sublette, Edi Patterson, plus special guests to be announced. The Onion's live comedy spectacular offers adoring fans a glimpse inside the well-oiled mechanism that is America's Finest News Source.  Three members of the writing staff take the audience on a journey through the many facets of The Onion empire, breaking down the different types of content and explaining how they're created—all accompanied by a slideshow of popular headlines, graphics and videos, for those less capable of grasping abstract thought. Everyone in attendance should leave with a better idea of how The Onion works, what it's like inside the newsroom, and most importantly, why every other media outlet is uninformed drivel by comparison.
